No two installations are exactly the same, so we give you a base price for a charger with a typical installation, where all of the following apply:

• The charger and the electricity meter:
• are no more than 1 wall apart.
• need up to ~10m of cable to connect them.
• The cables run straight through walls and are surface mounted, up to 1.8m high.
• Your electricity meter is located indoors or there is somewhere suitable indoor space to install charger protection equipment.
• Your Wi-Fi has a strong enough signal to connect.
• Single phase installation (standard in most homes).
• The charger will be mounted on a brick wall in a private parking lot. It will take 4 hours or less to installation.

Well, you can, but we wouldn't recommend it. A wall socket isn't as powerful as a dedicated EV charger, so it would take much longer to charge your car that way. You also need to consider safety - our EV chargers are built to withstand all weather conditions, so you don't have to worry about charging in the rain.
